F.C. Schools Revise Downward Plans for Mt. Daniel

Falls Church School Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones submitted Wednesday a formal revision for plans to renovate and expand the Mt. Daniel Elementary School just outside the F.C. city limits in Fairfax County, the News-Press has learned. After meeting with representatives of the McLean Citizens Association last week, the new submission to the county’s Planning and Zoning division calls for six fewer classrooms, expanding the potential enrollment to only 660, compared to 704 in the earlier proposal.

The new plan means the school will reach full capacity in 12, instead of 20, years, it was noted. The plan comes before the Fairfax Planning Commission on July 21.
