Crime Report: Carjacking at Eden Center But No Details from Police

There was a carjacking and assault at Eden Center last Tuesday, however, the City of Falls Church police provided no further details of the incident, or if the suspect was apprehended. A spokesman for the City of F.C. police told the News-Press the it was “ultimately a domestic incident.”

In other Falls Church crime, there were several larcenies including carpentry tools stolen from a building on W. Broad St., a purse stolen from BJ’s, jewelry take from a home on W. Broad and a sign box stolen from a building on S. Washington.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: June 20 -26, 2016

Larceny from Building, 1100 block W. Broad St. On June 20, carpentry tools were reported stolen sometime after June 17.

Assault, 1200 block W. Broad St. On June 21, police received a report that an acquaintance assaulted the victim.

Carjacking, Domestic Assault, Violation of Protective Order, and Trespassing, 6751 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On June 21, the suspect assaulted the victim and fled the scene with the victim’s car.

Larceny from Building, 6601 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On June 21, an unattended purse was reported stolen.

Larceny from Building, 500 block W. Broad St. On June 22, a victim reported jewelry stolen from the residence.

Narcotics Violation, 300 block Little Falls St. On June 22, a male, 18, of Potomac, MD, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Larceny from Building, 200 block S. Washington St. On June 23, a sign box was reported stolen.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block E. Annandale Rd. On June 24, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 38, of The City of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Narcotics Violation, 100 block Hillwood Ave. On June 24, a male, 20, of Burke, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Public Drunkenness, 800 block W. Broad St. On June 26, a male, 32, no fixed address, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.
