Churchill Road ES Hosts McLean 4th of July Event

The 4th of July Fireworks Celebration will be held at Churchill Road Elementary School, 7100 Churchill Road, McLean, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4. The event, produced annually by the McLean Community Center, is free. The fireworks show begins at sunset, which is approximately 9:15 p.m.

In case of inclement weather, only the fireworks portion of the event will be present on Tuesday, July 5 at 8 p.m. Attendees can enjoy musical entertainment by a local DJ and there will be several food trucks on the grounds selling a variety of entrees and snacks. There will not be parking Churchill Road or nearby Cooper Middle School.

Attendees can take a free shuttle from one of two locations. St. John’s Episcopal Church, located at 6715 Georgetown Pike, McLean, and McLean Community Center, located at 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean, starting at 6:25 p.m. Handicap-accessible buses will be available at both sites.

Smoking, pets, fireworks, glass containers, weapons, sparklers, vaping and alcohol are not allowed on school grounds. The fireworks display will be provided by East Coast Pyrotechnics. For more information, call 703-790-0123 or visit bit.ly/1UsHVrF.
