J.E.B. Stuart HS Senior Layla Fawaz Named Apple Scholar

Layla Fawaz, a senior at J.E.B. Stuart High School, was honored as an Apple Scholar by the Apple Federal Credit Union at a gala breakfast celebration on Thursday, May 26. In addition to the honor, Fawaz received a $5,000 scholarship from Apple Federal Credit Union.

She was one of 28 high school seniors across Northern Virginia to receive a scholarship from Apple Federal Credit Union. The credit union, which received over 300 applications for the scholarships, awarded $140,000 in scholarships to this class of Apple Scholars.

The scholarships were awarded to students “who have demonstrated a commitment to helping their school and/or community,” according to a press release from Apple Federal Credit Union. For more information, visit applefcu.org.
