Health Department Door-to-Door Survey Slated for June 4 & 5

The Fairfax County Health Department will be conducting a survey called the Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response in a representative sampling of neighborhoods, including the City of Falls Church, on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5.

Health department staff and volunteers will be going door-to-door, asking residents to participate in the anonymous survey. In the City, survey volunteers will be in the area of Lincoln Avenue and West Street. Just outside the City limits, the volunteers will be in the area of Falls Reach Drive.

Neighborhoods and households will be selected at random using validated sampling methodology. Participation in the survey is voluntary and confidential. Respondents will not be asked to identify themselves and their address will not be included in the results.

“The answers received from the surveys will help us assess our community’s current level of preparedness,” said Dr. Gloria Addo-Ayensu, Fairfax County Health Department director. “It will also help us anticipate the community’s needs during an emergency.” For a full list of the 45 areas to be surveyed and more information, visit fairfaxcounty.gov/hd/hdnews/2016hdnews/2016-may-26-casper-emergency-preparedness-survey.htm.
