Haycock Elementary School Celebrates 60th Anniversary

The Haycock Elementary School Parent Teacher Association is sponsoring a celebration in honor of the school’s 60th anniversary on Saturday, June 4 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the school, located at 6616 Haycock Road, Falls Church.

Since the school opened in 1955, the celebration will be sock hop-themed, complete with dance-offs and hula hoop contests. In addition to the dance-offs and hula hoop contests, there will be a 1950s dance demonstration, memory lane, a 50/50 raffle and a Haycock birthday cake at the event. There will also be pizza, shake shop treats and commemorative t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event.

1950s-style attire is encouraged, but not required. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed. For more information, visit haycockpta.org/60th-anniversary-celebration-642016.html.
