Crime Report: Marijuana Arrests, DUIs & Somebody Stole from a St. James Donation Box

There were quite a few drug- and alcohol-related arrests in the City of Falls Church last week according to the latest crime report. There were two DUIs including one incident where a man was arrested for drinking while driving and marijuana possession, a man was arrested for public drunkenness on W. Broad Street, and a 37-year-old man and 16-year-old girl were each arrested for marijuana possession in separate incidents.

In other crime, a cell phone was stolen from a customer at Good Fortune and cash was taken from a donation box at St. James.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: April 18 – 24, 2016

Larceny and Vandalism, 6701 Wilson Blvd. (BP) On Apr. 19, a vacuum vending machine was vandalized and its cash was reported stolen.

Trespass, 6757 Wilson Blvd. Suite 17 (Hoa Vien Quan) On Apr. 19, a male, 59, no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Narcotics Violation and Driving Under the Influence, 100 block Birch St. On Apr. 20, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 24, of McLean, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Drinking While Driving, and Possession of Marijuana.

Smoking Violation, 6763 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Apr. 21, a male, 60, of Alexandria, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Narcotics Violation, 300 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 21, a 16 year-old female, of Vienna, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Public Drunkenness, 800 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 21, a male, 31, of Raleigh, NC, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block E. Broad St. On Apr. 22, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a female, 25, of Leesburg, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Larceny from Building, 103 N. Spring St. (St. James Catholic Church) On Apr. 22, an unknown suspect stole cash from a donation box.

Larceny from Building, 6751 Wilson Blvd. (Good Fortune) On Apr. 23, an unknown person stole a customer’s phone.

Narcotics Violation, 306 Hilwood Ave. (Lesly’s Restaurant) On Apr. 23, a male, 37, of Germantown, MD, was arrested and released on summons for
Possession of Marijuana.
