Crime Report: A Stolen U-Haul & a Service Station’s Vacuum Machine Looted

A couple City of Falls Church businesses were robbed this past week according to the latest crime report released Tuesday. A vacuum vending machine was vandalized and its cash stolen from Aalan’s Service station on Hillwood Ave. and a van was stolen from U-Haul on W. Broad Street. In addition, cell phone were stolen from both Lesly’s Restaurant and the H20 Cafe, jewelry was taken from a residence on Villa Ridge and someone stole tools from a shed on S. Lee St.

Also in the report, after a report of a fight in the 300 block of W. Broad St., a 20-year-old man was arrested for underage possession of alcohol and public drunkeness and an 18-year-old Falls Church man was arrested for giving police a fake ID.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: April 11 – 17, 2016

Larceny from Building, 306 Hillwood Ave. (Lesly’s Restaurant) On Apr. 11, an unattended cell phone was reported stolen.

Larceny and Vandalism, 100 Hillwood Ave. (Aalan’s Service) On Apr. 11, a vacuum vending machine was vandalized and its cash was reported stolen.

Residential Burglary, 200 block S. Lee St. On Apr. 13, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a shed and stole tools.

Larceny from Building, 800 block Villa Ridge On Apr. 13, jewelry was reported from a residence sometime after Dec. 24, 2015.

Smoking Violation, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Café Metro) On Apr. 13, a male, 27, of Alexandria, was cited for Smoking in a Non-Designated Area.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block E. Broad St. On Apr. 13, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a female, 64, of Washington, DC, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Hoa Vien Quan) On Apr. 14, a male, 48, of Chantilly, was cited for Smoking in a Non-Designated Area.

Stolen Vehicle, 1105 W. Broad St. (U-Haul) On Apr. 15, a van was reported stolen sometime after Mar. 22.

Larceny from Building, 6757 Wilson Blvd. Suite 15 (H2O Café) On Apr. 15, an unattended cell phone was reported stolen.

Liquor Law Violation, Public Drunkenness, & False ID to Law Enforcement, 300 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 16, police responded to the area for a report of a fight. After an investigation, a male, 20, of Falls Church, was arrested for Underage Possession of Alcohol and Public Drunkenness. A male, 18, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Providing False ID to Law Enforcement.
