Crime Report: String of Car Break-Ins Returns to Falls Church

A big week for car break-ins once again in the City of Falls Church with nine instances reported in the last week according to the latest crime report. Seven cars were reported broken into or tampered with on Saturday, March 26 alone while an additional two more had items stolen from them around that same time.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: March 21 – 27, 2016

Larceny from Building, 6763 Wilson Blvd. Suite 9 (Café Thien) On Mar. 22, a video game machine was reported stolen from the business.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. On Mar. 23, a male, 58, of Annandale, was cited for Smoking in a Non-Designated Area.

Driving Under the Influence and Obstruction of Justice, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Mar. 23, a male, 58, of Annandale, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Obstruction of Justice, and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Larceny from Building, 358 W. Broad St. (Chipotle) On Mar. 23, an unattended wallet was reported stolen.

Assault, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On Mar. 25, a man was assaulted during a motor vehicle altercation.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block Gundry Dr. On Mar. 26, small change was reported stolen from five unlocked vehicles sometime overnight.

Larceny from Vehicle, 200 block Gundry Dr. On Mar. 26, small change was reported stolen from three unlocked vehicles sometime overnight.

Larceny from Vehicle, 100 block W. Annandale Rd. On Mar. 26, small change was reported stolen from two unlocked vehicles sometime overnight.

Larceny from Vehicle, 200 block S. Lee St. On Mar. 26, small change and an air compressor were stolen from three unlocked vehicles sometime overnight.

Tamper with Auto, 300 block Gundry Dr. On Mar. 26, five unlocked vehicles were found in disarray. No items were taken.

Narcotics Violation, 6621 Wilson Blvd. (New Moon Restaurant) On Mar. 26, a male, 22, of Falls Church, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block N. Lee St. On Mar. 27, personal electronics were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle sometime after Mar. 25.

Larceny from Vehicle, 200 block Gundry Dr. On Mar. 27, a GPS device was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle sometime after Mar. 25.

Public Drunkenness, 400 block W. Broad St. On Mar. 27, a male, of Richmond, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.
