GMHS Alum Launches Kickstarter for Kid-Safe Internet Router

2George Mason High School Class of 1995 grad Jared Agnew has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new product aimed at protecting children from the dangers of the internet.

Agnew and co-founder Jere Simpson – who have spent the last 20 years building internet security systems for organizations like the FBI and Navy SEALS – have created Netpure, a secure, parent-controlled wireless router. The Kickstarter campaign began on Tuesday and seeks to raise $80,000 by March 24. A pledge of $110 or up secures a Netpure router which begins shipping in April.

More information on the router can be found at netpure.com while the Kickstarter campaign can be found at kickstarter.com/projects/netpure-kid-safe-web/netpuretm.
