McLean High School Puts ‘Goldilocks on Trial’ in New Show

TheatreMcLean, the theater program at McLean High School, is gearing up for its production of “Goldilocks on Trial,” which will have a two-night run on February 6 and 7 at the school’s Burks Theatre, located at 1633 Davidson Road, McLean.

The play, which was written by Fairfax County educator and playwright Ed Monk, enters a courtroom where Goldilocks was accused of breaking and entering. Will she be found guilty and sent to jail or will the truth come out?

“’Goldilocks on Trial’ is a perfect second show for TheatreMcLean. I wanted to bring a children’s show to McLean so all family members could enjoy the theatre,” said McLean High School theatre teacher and director Phillip Reid. “With ‘Goldilocks on Trial’, students are able to create big absurd characters and a show that is fun for all ages.”

Showtimes for the play are 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on February 6 and 11 a.m. on February 7. Tickets cost $10. For more information, visit TheatreMcLean.org.
