Hundreds of Volunteers Converge on TJ Elementary

Hundreds of volunteers gathered on Monday, Jan. 18 at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School to pack school and hygiene supplies for school-aged children in Haiti. Backpacks full of school supplies will be sent to KIPP DC and the hygiene supplies will be delivered to school-aged children in Haiti.

The inaugural event was organized by the Falls church Elementary Parent Teacher Association and is the culmination of two supply drives – one in December 2015 and the second in January 2016, with fundraising efforts made through the sale of hot chocolate at recreational basketball games.
