F.C. Hosts Open House on W&OD Trail Master Plan

The City of Falls Church is hosting an open house in the Falls Church Community Center’s Community Room at 223 Little Falls Street on Saturday, Jan. 23 for community members to review and provide feedback on the City’s proposed master plan for the portion of the W&OD Trail and Park located in Falls Church.

The open house will begin at 10 a.m. with an opportunity to view information boards about the master plan. That portion of the meeting ends at 10:15 a.m.

Then there will be a presentation of the proposed master plan with an opportunity for question and answer from 10:15 – 11:15 a.m, after which there will be another opportunity for members of the community to view the information boards.

Park master plans serve as a guiding document for developing park amenities. More practically, the plans identify specific follow-up actions and serve as a tool for seeking grant funds. Community members can get involved in the creation of the master plan by by attending this and other community meetings, submitting written comments and attending Board and Commission meetings.
