Over 60 Mason Students Inducted into National Honor Society

The annual ceremony at George Mason High School last week for new members of the National Honor Society saw over sixty students inducted into the organization recognizing and promoting service, leadership, scholarship and character.

The program included comments by the current National Honor Society officers on the four qualities, a slide show of the members’ over 3,000 hours of volunteer service and some of a Haydn symphony by Mason’s saxophone quintet. Mason Principal Tyrone Byrd led the group in reciting the National Honor Society pledge.
