Crime Report: Armed Robbery, F.C. Vehicles Still at Risk

The big incident in the latest Falls Church crime report is the armed robbery of a BP Service station in Falls Church which the FBI has now linked to a string of robberies around the area.

In other crime, Falls Church vehicles continue to be at risk with two vehicles robbed Monday, Nov. 30, on Gibson Pl. and Poplar Dr. An additional car on Gibson was ransacked but no items were taken. Then, on Wednesday last week, the door of a vehicle on S. Spring was damaged and on Thursday, a vehicle at Bowl America had its tires slashed.

Also in the report, a 22-year-old Falls Church man was arrested for abduction, larceny and assaulting a family member on Roosevelt Blvd.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: November 30 – December 6, 2015

Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, 1300 Gibson Pl. On Nov. 30, coins were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, 600 block Poplar Dr. On Nov. 30, electronic devices were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Larceny from Building, 500 block Roosevelt Blvd. On Nov.30, items from a storage unit were reported stolen.

Tamper with Auto, 1300 block Gibson Pl. On Nov. 30, an unlocked vehicle was tampered and left in disarray.

Attempted Shoplifting, 1003 W. Broad St. (Rite-Aid) On Dec. 1, an unknown male attempted to conceal non-purchased beer.

Abduction, Domestic Assault, and Larceny, 500 block Roosevelt Blvd. On Dec. 1, a male, 22, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Abduction, Assaulting a Family Member, and Larceny.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 500 block S. Spring St. On Dec. 2, a vehicle’s door was found damaged.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 140 S. Maple Ave. (Bowl America) On Dec. 3, a vehicle’s tires were found slashed.

Armed Robbery, 6701 Wilson Blvd. (BP Service Station) On Dec. 4, a man armed with a handgun demanded cash from the register and left the scene.

Public Drunkenness, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Dec. 5, a male, 42, of Lorton was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Panhandling, 1000 E. Broad St. On Dec. 6, a male, 52, of Stafford, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Shoplifting, 1200 block W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On Dec. 6, health products were reported stolen from the store.

Larceny from Building, 100 block Gresham Pl. On Dec. 6, jewelry was reported stolen from a residence.
