Nominations Open for Washington Post Teacher of the Year

Nominations are open for the Washington Post‘s Teacher of the Year Award, according to a post on the Falls Church City Public School’s website.

The goals of The Washington Post‘s Teacher of the Year Award has always been to recognize excellence in teaching, to encourage creative and quality instruction and to contribute in a substantive way to the improvement of education in the Washington metropolitan area.

Deadline for nominations is Thursday, Jan. 6, 2016. Nominations can also be dropped off to the Falls Church City Public Schools’ office. The school system suggests that nomination packages be titled “FCCPS Employee Awards,” with attention made to Toni Jones and addressed to 800 W. Broad St. Ste. 203, Falls Church.
