Del. Simon Hails Vets ID Card

State Del. Marcus Simon, extending his greeting to veterans yesterday (including participating in the Falls Church memorial event), issued a public statement thanking Sen. Lynwood Lewis for his legislation that now authorizes state issuance of a Veterans ID card “to use as a convenient way to show proof of one’s veteran status.”

It is a brand new program, he said, that “will make it easy to enjoy the benefits and discounts offered by many businesses, and of which also are raising money for organizations that help wounded and needy veterans.”
