Absentee voting is underway in the City of Falls Church for the upcoming General Election on Nov. 3. According to a statement from City Hall, qualified voters may vote absentee by mail or in person at the Office of Voter Registration and Elections in City Hall, 300 Park Avenue, Suite 101 East.
Registered voters must meet one of the 19 eligibility requirements listed on the Virginia Absentee Ballot Application to vote absentee. Qualifying reasons are located on the last page of the absentee application. Requests for an absentee ballot by mail must be submitted to the Office of Voter Registration and Elections in City Hall by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Absentee ballot applications may be hand-delivered, mailed, faxed or emailed to the Office of Voter Registration and Elections in City Hall. Voters have until Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. to return their completed absentee ballot. City of Falls Church voters also have until Oct. 31 to vote an in-person absentee ballot at City Hall.
The hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on two Saturdays: October 24 and October 31, both from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Virginia law requires voters to present an acceptable photo ID when voting in-person.
