Taco Bamba Wins 2015 Taste of Falls Church

Hot on the heels of its being listed in Business Insider‘s “Best Tacos in America” list, Taco Bamba was named the winner of the 2015 Taste of Falls Church on Saturday, Sept. 19. The taco eatery, located on Pimmit Drive, served up its Chicken Tinga Taco to rave reviews from the festival attendees and judges alike.

Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department also handed several superlatives to the rest of the restaurants that participated in the Taste of Falls Church. Cafe Kindred, winner of the Best Coffee category in the News-Press‘ Best of Falls Church in August, received an award for the same category at Saturday’s festivities. Whole Foods received the Best Veggie award for their roasted corn dish and local frozen yogurt spot Zinga received an award for Best Value.

The Hilton Garden Inn’s American Grille received the award for Best Bar Food, Clare and Don’s Beach Shack received the Best Party Atmosphere award, Famous Dave’s received the Best Meat award, Flippin’ Pizza won for Best Pizza, Hot N’ Juicy Crawfish won for their crawfish mascot that can be seen on Broad Street, Sweet Rice won for Best Spice, Plaka Grill won for Best New Restaurant and Sfizi Cafe rounds out the winners for Best Dessert.
