Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times as work on the S. West Street roadbed reconstruction is due to commence next Tuesday, Sept. 8, and continue for two to three weeks, the City of F.C. has announced. Parking will be temporarily restricted on both sides of the road between Abbott Lane and Poplar Drive. Driveway access will be maintained outside of work hours, which are currently scheduled from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
According to a City press release, “Roadbed reconstruction will yield a greater return on investment for taxpayers than traditional paving. The contracted construction company will use a method called ‘full-depth reclamation,’ which will help deliver the project in an efficient manner and provide access to driveways more consistently.”
