Falls Church Arts Seeks Submissions for Still Life Show

Falls Church Arts announced its first show of the fall season on Monday, Aug. 31. The show is called “Still Life” and it opens on Thursday, Sept. 17, with a meet the artist reception at ArtSpace Falls Church at 410 S. Maple Street. The juried show is open to all media and all artists.

The entry form is available at FallsChurchArts.org/art-show-entry-form. Photos and artist statement and bios are to be emailed separately to info@FallsChurchArts.org. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Sept. 14, at 11 p.m.

Also, the catalog for Falls Church Arts’ 2015-2016 art classes is available. Six new artist/instructors will be teaching classes this season. Of the new artist/instructors, two will be starting with September classes: Jill Saxton-Smith will be teaching Paper & Ink: Introduction to Printmaking at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings beginning Sept. 15; Kate Fleming will be teaching Oil Painting for Beginners on Mondays 1 – 4 p.m. beginning Sept. 28; and veteran Bobbi Pratte will be teaching iPad Art-on-the-Go on Saturday September 26 at 1 pm.

All of these classes will be held at the Falls Church Community Center’s Art Room at 223 Little Falls Street. For more information or to register for classes, visit FallsChurchArts.org.
