Tysons-Pimmit Library Hosts David Nicholson for Author Event

The Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library, located at 7584 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, is hosting local author David Nicholson, who will read selections from his latest book Flying Home: Seven Stories of the Secret City, next Monday, July 27, at 7 p.m. Nicholson will also discuss and sign his new book at the event, which we be held in the library’s Meeting Room A.

Nicholson, a Vienna resident, is a former editor and reviewer for The Washington Post Book World and was the founding editor of Black Film Review. His journalism career also includes stints at the Dayton (Ohio) Daily News and the San Francisco and Milwaukee bureaus of the Associated Press.

Flying Home is based in Washington, D.C., the real one, a universe apart from the gray buildings, white marble monuments and tree-lined avenues. And it’s inhabited by ordinary working people – maids, taxi drivers, barbers, janitors and handymen. For more information about the event, call 703-790-8088.
