Crime Report: Eden Center Assaults, Stolen Vehicles & Parental Abduction

A pair of assaults occurred last week at Eden Center according to the latest City of Falls Church Crime Report. On Tuesday, a victim was assaulted during an argument at the shopping center and then in a separate incident on Tuesday, a victim was struck by an acquaintance.

In other crime news, last Friday two vehicles were stolen in the City – one from N. Quesada St. and a scooter was taken from Roosevelt Blvd. – and a 39 year-old Herndon man was arrested for abduction after taking a child from a vehicle at the Falls Church Presbyterian Church.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: July 6 – 12, 2015

Assault, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On July 6, the victim reported an assault ensuing from an argument.

Assault, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On July 7, police received a report of an acquaintance striking the victim. No injuries were reported.

Attempted Burglary, 100 block S. Virginia On July 9, an unknown suspect attempted to pry open a door.

Larceny from Building, 400 block S. Maple Ave. On July 9, a bicycle was reported stolen.

Shoplifting, 1150 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On July 9, police received a report of merchandise stolen from the store by three unknown females.

Stolen Vehicle, 900 block N. Quesada St. On July 10, police received a report of a stolen vehicle sometime overnight.

Stolen Vehicle, 600 block Roosevelt Blvd. On July 10, a scooter was reported stolen sometime overnight.

Driving Under the Influence and Liquor Law Violation, 100 block E. Broad St. On July 11, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 20, of Arlington, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Underage Possession of Alcohol.

Abduction, 225 E. Broad St. (Falls Church Presbyterian Church) On July 11, a non-custodial parent abducted a child from a vehicle. A male, 39, of Herndon, was later arrested in Loudon County for Parental Abduction and a Violation of a Court Order. The child was found unharmed.

Public Drunkenness, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On July 12, a male, 23, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness, 800 block W. Broad St. On July 12, a male, 56, of Arlington, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.
