Paving to Affect Traffic, Residence Access on West St. Through Summer

After 4,700 feet of new water mains were installed on South West Street, road paving will affect traffic and access to residences through early September in the City of Falls Church. The South West Roadbed Reconstruction Project, tasked with reconstructing the infrastructure along S. West in the City, will install new pavement markings once construction is completed, the City of F.C. reports in a press release issued Wednesday.

The City says notices will be sent out when specific streets will be affected by construction and detours will be provided as needed. The project is scheduled to be complete in early September, dependent on weather and other factors.

This project is being funded through grant monies from the Revenue Sharing program administered by the Virginia Department of Transportation.
