Fairfax County Animal Shelter Hosts Ugly Sweater Party

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter is offering reduced adoption fees and festive fun at their Ugly Sweater Party this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13, during regular shelter hours. The shelter is open noon – 7 p.m. Tuesday – Friday and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be 40 cats and kittens and 25 dogs and puppies available for adoption, many of whom will be wearing their best holiday sweaters.

Dog adoption fees will be reduced to $100 and cat adoption fees will be reduced to $50. Most of the pets available for adoption can go home the same day they’re adopted. Those who aren’t in the market for a new pet can still come to see the newly renovated shelter, located at 4500 W. Ox Road, Fairfax, and enjoy hands-on fun with rabbits and guinea pigs. Shelter volunteers will be taking fun photos of visitors posing with pets.
