Gphomestay Partners with Congressional Schools of Virginia

Gphomestay, a company that works with high schools across the country to help their international student programs, announced its partnership with the Congressional Schools of Virginia late last month.

The company is looking for families who live within 30 minutes of the school, located at 3229 Sleepy Hollow Road, Falls Church, and are interested in hosting international students to attend the Congressional Schools. International students attending the Congressional Schools will arrive in January 2015.

Host families receive a $1,200 monthly stipend and have access to ongoing support from a local residential coordinator who can help with coordinating meeting the hosted student upon their arrival, keeping host families connected with the school community and mediating issues if they arise.

International students will have their own insurance and spending money. They typically stay for an entire academic year, but there are also short-term hosting opportunities available. Gphomestay asks that host families provide three meals a day, transportation to and from school (carpooling or taking the bus is acceptable) and a private bedroom for the student.
