Arlington Artists Alliance Opens Two New Shows

The Arlington Artists Alliance opened two new shows this week at Gallery Underground, located at 2100 Crystal Dr., Arlington. There will be an opening reception for both shows tomorrow night, Dec. 5, from 5 – 8 p.m.

Gallery Underground’s Focus Gallery will feature “Watercolor Excellence: PVW at 40 Years,” an exhibit of more than 100 small works by members of Potomac Valley Watercolorists, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Potomac Valley Watercolorists is a juried art organization focused on high-quality technical and creative talent. The membership is comprised of residents of Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia and counts among its ranks many watercolor instructors and artists who exhibit at prominent galleries, museums and nationally acclaimed shows.

The Main Gallery will feature a small works members show featuring sculpture, glass, ceramics, watercolor, oil, acrylic, jewelry and mixed media. Both shows will be on display through Jan. 2, 2014. For more information, visit galleryunderground.org.
