F.C. Resident Wins ‘No Roof Left Behind’ Contest

Ysmelda Navarro of Falls Church won a free roof installation in a contest sponsored by the Springfield-based Orion Home Improvements and No Roof Left Behind, a nationwide program that helps people get new roofs when they can’t afford it.

Four contest entrants were nominated by No Roof Left Behind and then the four nominees for a new roof installation competed for votes on the No Roof Left Behind website. Navarro’s house, located at 7304 Mendota Ave., Falls Church, won the contest by 35 votes.

There will an installation celebration party this Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Navarro’s house. There will be a DJ, moon bounce and free food at the event. For more information, visit noroofleftbehind.com.
