Police Seek Information After Boy Bitten by Dog in F.C. Sunday

A teenage boy was bitten by a dog near the intersection of James Street and James Court at Virginia Avenue in the City of Falls Church on Sunday, Sept. 28, and now police are seeking information about the canine and its owner.

Between 5 and 6 p.m. last Sunday, the boy was bitten on the leg by a leashed dog described as small with mostly brown and some white fur. It suspected the dog may be a beagle or Jack Russell terrier. The dog walker is described as a white female, around 30 years old, medium height, heavy-set with medium brown hair. Police say the owner might not know that the victim was injured.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the City of Falls Church Police Department, Animal Control Division at 703-241-5052.
