22nd Annual Falls Church Farm Day Set for Oct. 11

The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department is hosting and sponsoring the 22nd annual Farm Day on next Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Cherry Hill Park, located at 312 Park Ave., Falls Church.

Farm Day will feature horse-drawn hayrides, pumpkin painting, blacksmithing, cider pressing from locally grown apples and pony rides. Andrew Acosta and The New Old-Time String Band will play.

Anyone who brings their own pair of pants and a long-sleeved shirt will be able to build a scarecrow. Free tours of the 1845 Cherry Hill Farmhouse will be offered throughout the day. Admission to Farm Day is free, but some of the activities cost a fee. For more information, visit fallschurchva.gov/farmday.
