The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department is hosting and sponsoring the 22nd annual Farm Day on next Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Cherry Hill Park, located at 312 Park Ave., Falls Church.
Farm Day will feature horse-drawn hayrides, pumpkin painting, blacksmithing, cider pressing from locally grown apples and pony rides. Andrew Acosta and The New Old-Time String Band will play.
Anyone who brings their own pair of pants and a long-sleeved shirt will be able to build a scarecrow. Free tours of the 1845 Cherry Hill Farmhouse will be offered throughout the day. Admission to Farm Day is free, but some of the activities cost a fee. For more information, visit fallschurchva.gov/farmday.
