The City of Falls Church will celebrate a milestone this weekend as the 50th Annual Falls Church Festival returns Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. — 4 p.m. on the grounds of City Hall, 300 Park Ave.
The annual community celebration will feature live music, children’s entertainment, rides and inflatables, pony rides, more than 85 local vendors, businesses and civic organizations, a beer garden and the popular Taste of Falls Church. The festival will be held rain or shine.

Admission to the festival is free, although tickets are required for food, beer and amusement rides.
Taste of Falls Church
This year’s Taste of Falls Church will feature 18 participating restaurants and food businesses, with the City reporting that 88 percent are located within Falls Church City and all are located in or near the community.
Participating businesses include Audacious Aleworks, Badd Pizza, Bit Bakery, Cafe Kindred, Clare & Don’s Beach Shack, Costiera Pizzeria Napoletana, Fish Taco, GrillMarX Steakhouse & Raw Bar, Honoo Ramen Bar, Hot N’ Juicy Crawfish, Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Open Road, Playa Bowls, Solace Outpost, Sweet Rice Thai, Taco Rock and The Falls.
Taste tickets cost $3 each. Food and non-alcoholic drinks require one or two tickets depending on the item, while beer requires two tickets.
Advance Taste ticket sales are available at the Falls Church Community Center. Tickets will also be sold Saturday at booths in front of the Community Center. Outdoor booths accept cash and cards, while the indoor location accepts cards only. There will be no ATM onsite, and Taste ticket sales will end at 3:30 p.m.
The ROCK STAR realty group Beer Garden will operate from 11 a.m. — 3:45 p.m., featuring selections from Audacious Aleworks and Solace Outpost. All festival attendees may enter the beer garden, but a valid ID is required to purchase or consume alcohol.
Live Music and Entertainment
Live entertainment will run throughout the day on both the Main Stage and Children’s Stage.
The Main Stage lineup includes Villains and Saints, The Coozies and Moonshine Society, while children’s entertainment will include magician Drew Blue Shoes, The Science Guys of Baltimore, Rocknoceros and Marsha and the Positrons.
Children’s crafts, amusements and a special Big 50 Scavenger Hunt celebrating the festival’s 50th anniversary will also run throughout the day. Participants can pick up scavenger hunt sheets at the 50th Anniversary tent or Recreation and Parks information booth and complete the hunt for anniversary-themed swag.
Rides, Inflatables and Ponies
Bounce houses, slides, mechanical rides and pony rides will be available from 10 a.m. — 4 p.m.
Amusement tickets cost $1 each, with individual attractions requiring between one and five tickets. Unlimited ride and inflatable wristbands will be available for $25 per person.
Pony rides, provided by Ponies Plus in Cherry Hill Park, cost $10 each, with tickets sold separately next to the pony ride area.
The festival’s Main Stage and Beer Garden are sponsored by ROCK STAR realty group, while CommuniKids is sponsoring the Children’s Craft Tent.
