Volunteers Sought for Falls Church Habitat Restoration

The City of Falls Church Habitat Restoration Team is seeking volunteers for their on-going habitat restoration project, which is aimed at restoring the local ecosystem in city parks.

This includes removing invasive plants as well planting native plants when they are available to benefit local bird and butterflies.

This Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., the Habitat Restoration team will be meeting at Cherry Hill Park, located at 312 Park Ave., Falls Church. Volunteers are advised to wear comfortable clothes, boots or heavy shoes and gloves.
