Road Closures At TJ Elementary Noted

With the new school year beginning, Falls Church City officials are advising citizens of the revised road closures during arrival and dismissal times at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Falls Church. These changes are implemented to create a more pedestrian-friendly environment for the students.

General vehicular traffic will be closed in the following locations during school days; times are approximate:

• Closed 8:20-8:50 a.m.: S. Oak St. from Seaton Ln. to Timber Ln. and Parker Ave. from Timber Ln. to S. Oak St.;

• Closed 3:35-4:05 on regular days or 1:05-1:35 p.m. on early dismissal days: S. Oak St. from Seaton Ln. to Timber Ln.;

• Closed 3:40-4:05 p.m. on regular days or 1:10-1:35 p.m. on early dismissal days: Parker Ave from Timber Ln. to S. Oak St. School is dismissed at TJ Elementary at 3:45 p.m. on regular days and 1:15 p.m. on early dismissal days.

Vehicles dropping off or picking up students are encouraged to utilize the Seaton Ln. school parking lot. Vehicle traffic should expect increased delays during these times.
