Virginia Cooperative Extension to Give Gardening Clinic

The Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners and horticultural agent Kristen Buhls are sponsoring a clinic next weekend covering the basics of how to grow a vegetable garden during the fall and winter months.

The program will be held Aug. 23 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Burke Branch Library, which is located at 4701 Seminary Rd. in Alexandria.

Topics will include what to plant, how to plant and manage fall crops and tips on handling pest and disease issues. The program will be free and is open to the public, but advanced registration is requested.
