Info Session Being Held for Prospective Youth Advocates

The Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is holding an information session this Saturday, Aug. 16, for prospective volunteers.

Volunteers for CASA, which is an organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children, visit children twice a month, get to know them and make sure they’re safe. They also interview social workers, therapists, teachers, and other professional to gather information to report back to the court.

The meeting is being held from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Thomas Jefferson Library, which is located at 7415 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church. For more information, visit casafairfax.org.
