City of Falls Church Releases New Information, Photos on Capitol One Bank Robbery

The City of Falls Church released new information today about the robbery of the Capitol One Bank at 1100 W. Broad St. last Tuesday.

According to city police, last Tuesday a man walked into the bank at approximately 1:40 p.m. with a long knife and demanded cash from one of the bank’s tellers. The suspect, described as a 5’6″ to 5’9″ non-white male with a slender build, fled the bank on foot heading northbound on Falls Avenue after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the bank robber.
