Crime Report: Rash of Thefts Continue In Falls Church

Multiple reports of larceny and burglary continue to hit the City of Falls Church with an additional seven incidents reported in the latest Crime Report released Tuesday.

In the span of just three days last week, two more bicycles were stolen, a generator was taken from Coleman Power Sports, a wallet was stolen from a customer at a Eden Center restaurant, prescription pills were taken from a residence on W. George Mason Road, a house was broken into and robbed on S. Spring and an iPod was taken during an attempted auto theft on S. Lee Street.

Other crime included two DUIs, two citations for public drunkenness, identity theft and three smoking arrests at Eden Center.

Driving Under the Influence, 1000 block W. Broad St. On July 7, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 26, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Public Drunkenness, 100 block Haycock Rd. On July 7, police arrested a male, 33, of Manassas, for Public Drunkenness.

Larceny from Building, 435 S. Washington St. (Coleman Power Sports) On July 7, police received a report that a generator was stolen from the store.

Larceny from Building, 400 block S. Washington St. On July 7, police received a report that a bicycle was stolen from the garage.

Graffiti, 1300 block S. Washington St. On July 8, graffiti were found on the retaining wall.

Larceny from Building, 6767 Wilson Blvd. (Viet Royale Restaurant) On July 8, police received a report that a wallet was stolen from a customer.

Narcotics Violation, 700 block E. Broad St. On July 8, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 19, of Arlington was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Larceny from Building, 100 block E. Broad St. On July 8, police received a report a bicycle was stolen from the location.

Public Drunkenness, 100 block Haycock Rd. On July 8, a male, 33, of Manassas, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Larceny from Building, 200 block W. George Mason Rd. On July 9, police received a report that prescription pills were stolen from a residence.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Le Mirage) On July 9, a male, 44, of Springfield was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Smoking Violation, 6787 Wilson Blvd. Suite A (Saigon Xua Restaurant) On July 9, a male, 50, of Annandale, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Residential Burglary, 500 block S. Spring St. On July 9, police received a report that an unknown suspect entered a residence and stole several items.

Possession of False ID, 1202 W. Broad St. (BB&T Bank) On July 10, a male, 45, of Falls Church, was arrested for three counts of Possession of False ID.

Attempted Stolen Vehicle and Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 100 block S. Lee St. On July 10, police received a report that an iPod was stolen and a key was used to attempt to start the vehicle.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On July 10, a male, 41, of Baltimore, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Identity Theft, 1230 W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On July 10, a male, 41, no fixed address, was arrested for Identity Theft.

Driving Under the Influence, 7100 block Gordon Rd. On July 11, a female, 25, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
