Arlington, Fairfax Dems Holding Caucus to Select 48th District Nominee

Arlington and Fairfax Democrats are holding caucuses and a debate this weekend to select a nominee for an August 19 special election in the 48th District to replace recently-resigned Virginia State Del. Bob Brink.

Virginia code requires political party nominees to be identified by July 7, so the Arlington County Democratic Committee and the Fairfax County Democratic Committee will hold caucuses on Sunday, July 6 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Yorktown High School cafeteria and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in McLean High School cafeteria. Prior to the caucuses, the committees will be sponsoring a candidate’s debate on Saturday, July 5 at Washington-Lee High School in Arlington from 3 – 5 p.m.
