Jody’s Jam of the Week: Barbarellaesque

bbrellaA show I’m willing to bet no one in The Little City has set their eyes upon before is taking place this Saturday at The State Theatre.

Barbarellaesque, a live-action performance of “Barbarella,” the sci-fi cult classic starring Jane Fonda, combines song, dance and, best of all, strip tease to the campy 60’s flick. And it’s all happening right here in Falls Church. Yeah, believe that.

The one-night-only show is a “fully-scripted performance that follows the film’s delightfully cheesy plot” starring Cherie Sweetbottom, Sunny Sighed, Kay Sera and Pole Courter.

Seriously, how cool is that?

What: Barbarellaesque

When: Saturday, June 28, 8 p.m.

Where: The State Theatre, 220 N. Washington Street, Falls Church
