Thursday morning, Democracy for America, a national political organization founded by Gov. Howard Dean, endorsed Fairfax County Supervisor John Foust in his race against State Del. Barabara Comstock for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.
“Democracy for America members in Northern Virginia and across the country are looking forward to making the phone calls, knocking doors and doing whatever it takes to help John Foust defeat Barbara Comstock before she can bring her fringe-right views on a woman’s right to choose and the Affordable Care Act to the halls of Congress,” said Jim Dean, brother of Howard Dean and the current chair of Democracy for America. DFA has 22,386 members in Virginia and a million members nationwide.
Since its founding in 2004, DFA members have raised more than $5 million and made more than 8.9 million volunteer calls in successfully electing 802 progressive candidates across the country.
