Jody’s Jam of the Week: City of Falls Church Memorial Day Parade & Festival

USFlagC1009_L_300_C_YThe Memorial Day Parade and Festival, Falls Church’s biggest event of the year, is Monday and we’ve got a rundown of the day’s activities in our program inside this week’s edition.

The 3K Fun Run is always a good idea, especially if you plan on chowing down on funnel cake, fried Oreos or any of the festival’s other grub (I’m especially excited for Taco Bamba’s booth). Also, this year marks the 50th year of existence of Underdog and that means Memorial Day parade mainstay Susan Muldowney will be reprising her role as the cartoon canine for a special Golden Anniversary performance throughout the streets of The Little City.

What: City of Falls Church Memorial Day Parade & Festival

When: Monday, May 26, 2014, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Where: City Hall Grounds,  300 Park Avenue, Falls Church
