Girl Scout Troop 898 came out in full force this past week to help spread mulch on refurbished flower beds outside the historic Cherry Hill Farmhouse. Pictured above is Rachel Crichton, Cherry Hill Farmhouse director, with members of Girl Scout Troop 898 who stayed until the last wheelbarrow was dumped and spread. Troop 898 girls are (from left to right) Wendy Sejas, Rianna Arsenault, Nicole Reed (and her younger sister), Megan Kay, and Eleanor Gieser. Working in cooperation with the City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department, which provided the mulch, the large number of Scouts unloaded and spread more than six cubic yards of mulch at Cherry Hill. Crichton supervised the event and pushed the complete truckload of mulch onto the wheelbarrows as the girls raked the remainder into the wheelbarrow to spread on flower beds. (Courtesy Photo)
