F.C. GOP Honors Volunteers at Reception

405fcgopThe Falls Church GOP held its volunteer recognition reception at the Italian Café on Sunday, March 23. In attendance, pictured above from left to right, were Micah Edmond of Alexandria, GOP 8th District Congressional candidate; Falls Church City Council Member Phil Duncan; City of Falls Church Commissioner of the Revenue Tom Clinton; and Brad Tidwell, executive committee member of the local GOP. Honored at the reception were Daniel Ayre, for his organizing and use of technology; Shayam Menon, for directing a voter identification and turnout program that has been praised by other Virginia GOP officials; and Brad Tidwell, for his campaign for the 53rd District House of Delegates seat in 2013, in which he recruit more than 100 area precinct workers. Margaret and Kenneth Whitehead received the Always Faithful to the Cause award. The Italian Café was recognized for its support of the play “The Actual Dance,” which the Falls Church GOP co-produced with the Falls Church Democrats and several other local civic groups to raise funds for the Life with Cancer treatment center of INOVA Health Foundation in Fairfax.
