This week’s Crime Report provides details of a stabbing incident at Eden Center on Saturday night which left one man recovering from non-life-threatening injuries. In a separate incident, a man forced open a car door and demanded cash from a victim in West Falls Plaza on Sunday. Police report the suspect, a white male in his mid-twenties, approximately six-foot tall and 200 pounds, did no assault the victim.
Additional report entries this week include DUIs, larcenies and a residential burglary.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block S. Washington St. On Feb. 17, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Edson G. Viezaga, 46, of Annandale, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 900 block N. Roosevelt St. On Feb. 17, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 46, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.
Larceny from Building, 105 N. Virginia Ave. #105 (Dog Groomers) On Feb. 19, police received a report of stolen grooming tools which occurred on Feb. 16.
Vandalism to Vehicle and Larceny from Vehicle, 100 block Rees Pl. On Feb. 21, a parked vehicle was found with a smashed window. A laptop computer was stolen from the vehicle.
Destruction of Property, 410 S. Maple Ave. (Pearson Square) On Feb. 21, police received a report of damaged.
Larceny from Building, 1212 W. Broad St. (ABC Store) On Feb. 22, police received a report of stolen liquor.
Malicious Wounding, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #19 (Hai Lua) On Feb. 22, officers responded to the area for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, the victim was found suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds; the victim was then transported to a local hospital. Two Asian males that were known to the victim fled the area before police arrived on the scene.
Residential Burglary, 200 block E. Columbia St. On Feb. 23, residents of a household heard unknown subjects in the first floor of their home. The police were called immediately and responded to secure the residence. No suspects were found in the immediate area. Credit cards and cash were taken from the residence. There was evidence of forced entry through a backdoor.
Strong Armed Robbery, 1200 block W. Broad St. (West Falls Plaza) On Feb. 23, an unknown suspect opened the door to an occupied parked vehicle and demanded cash from the victim. The suspect did not assault the victim. There were no indications a weapon was used. The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-twenties, approximately 6′ tall, 200 pounds, medium build, and clean shaven. He was wearing a dark knitted hat and a grey sweater.
CORRECTION: In the initial Crime Report submitted to the News-Press, the Strong Armed Robbery entry indicated it occurred at West End Plaza. It was actually at West Falls Plaza.
