Va. Dem Party Chair Herring Throws Hat in Moran Seat Ring

Alexandria-based State Del. Charniele Herring, chair of the state Democratic Party, has formally announced that she will join a growing field of candidates who will vie for the Democratic nomination to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Jim Moran. She joins a field that so far includes Del. Patrick Hope and Bruce Shuttleworth and that is expected to grow considerably in advance of the June 10 primary.
