Henderson House to Host D.C. Mayoral Candidate Shallal

A meet-and-greet fundraiser for Andy Shallal, a Washington, D.C. mayoral candidate and owner of Busboys and Poets, will be held this Saturday, Jan. 25, at the historic Henderson House in Falls Church. The 100-year-old house was home to civil rights advocates Mary Ellen and Dr. Edwin Henderson for more than 50 years, and is where the nation’s first rural branch of the NAACP met in 1915.

Shallal will share his ideas and visions for those who live, work, and/or play in Washington, D.C.

The event will take place from 3 – 5 p.m. at Henderson House, located at 307 S. Maple Ave., Falls Church.
