City of Falls Church Police have arrested James Moore Jr. in connection with the shooting that took place on Dec. 28 at the parking lot of the Taco Bell on W. Broad Street.
The 32-years-old City of Falls Church resident is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, attempted robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to Police Public Information Officer Susan Finarelli, the robbery charge comes from an attempt to rob the shooting victim.
Moore was taken into custody on Jan. 5 and will be held without bond pending a court appearance.
Police say that Moore and the victim, Carlos Gonzales, 23, of Arlington, were acquaintances, and that a disagreement escalated into Gonzales being shot four times in the torso; he is expected to recover. Finarelli said that no additional information on the disagreement or the victim’s condition is available at this time.
