F.C. City Girl Scouts Share Holiday Cheer

After school on Friday, Dec. 20, three local Girl Scout troops visited Sunrise Senior Living on N. Washington Street in Falls Church.

Mount Daniel School kindergarteners from Daisy Troop 711, Mount Daniel first-graders from Daisy Troop 3339, and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School third-graders from Brownie Troop 3054 sang holiday songs, shared cookies and hot chocolate, and made a very long paper chain with the seniors.

The seniors enjoyed the homemade cookies and the song “Winter Wonderland,” even though the temperature outside was over 60 degrees. The Girl Scouts enjoyed crafting the paper chain and singing “Jingle Bell Rock” with hand-held bells.
