UPDATE: Grove Ave. Reopened in Falls Church After Police Activity Wednesday Afternoon

City of Falls Church’s Public Information Office confirmed this afternoon that F.C. police were carrying out a search warrant, and Grove Avenue between N. West and Spruce Streets in the City was closed while police worked in the area. As of 5 p.m., Grove Avenue was reopened.

Officials told the News-Press that “there is no public danger” arising from the incident and advised the public to avoid the area while the scene was being cleared.

Correction: A previous version of this article reported, based on inaccurate police information, that police were carrying out an arrest warrant.
