New F.C. Arts Show to Feature Tree-Inspired Art

ArtisTree, a juried all-media show by Falls Church Arts, will open with a reception this Thursday, Oct. 17, at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 S. Maple Ave.

ArtisTree is a show in which a tree or trees is the prominent centerpiece of the artist’s work. This show invites artists to create works that illustrate how trees are a part of the world, the landscape, and lives.

Trees are a valuable resource in the City of Falls Church and are highly valued by many residents and visitors alike. The City has the distinction of having been named Tree City USA for 35 consecutive years – the longest run of any jurisdiction in Virginia.

ArtisTree is curated by the Falls Church Arts CriTique Panel – Isabelle Babington, Bill Abel, Marc Masurovsky, and John Maier – and runs through Nov. 17.
